About the Journal

This journal is mostly fannish. You're probably going to find some fic, maybe some drawing, perhaps a rant or complaint. Don't really know yet. I shall expand further as I figure out what I'm going to do with this thing.

I don't f-lock posts. I don't ever intend to talk about things that I wouldn't mind the entire world knowing here, or anywhere on the internet for that matter, so I see no point to it.

I'm good about my cuts, and I always warn and tend rate on the conservative side when it comes to fic and such, so you shouldn't have to worry about inadvertently seeing anything you don't care to in that regard but I should still warn you I tend to be into some weird stuff at times.

I swear like a sailor in real life, so expect a touch of rough language, but I kinda try not to go too far overboard.

If you want to friend me GO FOR IT! Friends are cool. I may or may not friend you back, don't take it personally either way. I'm a little random about that.

About Commenting

I FLIPPING LOVE COMMENTS! I welcome all comments. I am a delicate flower when it comes to criticism, but I'll suck it up. Positive comments are always a go. General inanity is not encouraged, but it's not frowned upon either. Comment away! Or don't and just lurk there, weirdo. Whatever.

So you like one of my icons, eh? Well, if it is credited to someone else, go bug them about using it. If it is credited to myself, ASK BEFORE TAKING. Some I'll be fine with so long as you credit, some I'd prefer to just be mine. Same goes if you're going to take and alter one of my icons.

I'm The Strange Blue Glow, and I am a fan. Maybe even a fan-girl, depending on what exactly we're talking about.

I've been a fan of lots of things over the years, sometimes involved in the fandom, sometimes not. Right now, I'm obsessed with REPO! The Genetic Opera 'cause it is awesome. Examples of the other things I'm interested in can be found in my interests.

I've been writing bad, cheap smut under other names since before I really should have known of such things. I've tried to quit that. The bad, cheap part. Iffy on the smut. I know there's an audience for it, so I'll write it like a good little fic writing whore, but I've always been a bit more of a gen writer at heart. Not that my gen was any less bad or cheap. Also, there are no guarantees that I've actually gotten better or am capable of doing so.

I've got a fanfiction.net account I never use, a deviant art I also practically never use, and an occasionally used twitter all under my strangeblueglow username. I'm elsewhere with other names, but none of that is relevant to any of you.

Personalishly

I'm The Strange Blue Glow. I'm fairly shy and lack the ability to carry any conversation that isn't about me or one of my weird interests. I tend to fall off the face of the Earth. This has happened multiple times. I have a ton of weirdness and issues that I'm sure will come worming their way out at some point, but I like to think I'm pretty cool.

I'm also a bit of a narcissist. And a bit of a hedonist as well. And yet, surprisingly prudish (especially surprising considering the smut I used to write).

I believe in Unicorns and love.

I'm a bisexual (well, that's what we're going to call it for a sake of a label), agnostic, political moderate. People like to call me "indecisive", and I do like the philosophy of "If the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, why not just straddle that baby and ride straight down the center".

I use far to many parenthetical asides and abuse ellipses.
